awesome video and a beautiful machine. I like the dual filter setup. Makes the oil change on a Ford GT seem easy.
Apparently it takes so long because it is a dry sump system.
The new Corvette has a dry sump. I wonder how easy that will be to service.

The double drain seems a little excessive. Normally there is a drain or two on the oil pan on the block and then one on the bottom of the dry sump tank. If there is an oil cooler sometimes you drain that as well.
Odd, looks like the Lexus techs are sending off the oil for a used oil analysis...
Maybe they noticed the oil change was overdue by a fair amount and wanted it documented?
I guess if it was a newer car, with the break in metals, and an overdue oil change with a used oil analysis as proof, and videotaped...
Well, I hope this guy still has a warranty in the end.

Perhaps a used oil analysis was requested by the owner.

All things considered, I don't think that was too bad. Unusual, yes, but it could've been WAY worse. An owner could do this themselves.

I'd be surprised to hear of an LFA owner that does their own oil changes.

I was watching it really late last night. Why did they drain,fill it up. Then re-drain,and fill it up again? And why did they save the oil from the first "re-fill"? Did they really do that or did I drift off to sleep while watching it? 
I bet it was uber expensive,doing it that way with Mobil 1 5W50.

It didn't look all that challenging to me; the hardest part ( and the easiest to mess up) is getting the car properly lifted. After that it just nuts and bolts.....
Dr AE Haas might do his own oil changes - but he'd use 0w-20!
That car is peerless.
I can't think of another hypercar with the performance, handling, luxury, and the kicker....reliability.
I've seen only one in person...it was so small, low, and wide. Breathtaking car.
Not to mention the sound that v10 makes.
That's my #1 dream car, an aventador and brabus merc are distant seconds....

Well, almost everything engine related is nuts and bolts. Removing an engine is just knowing which nuts and bolts and in which order.

I highly doubt an owner of a $400k supercar is going to DIY change his oil, just sayin'.... lol

I'd gladly do oil changes the PROPER I mean, the LFA way if I had a car worth the treatment, say a Brand New BMW M3 for example. That V8 spinning to 8,400rpm would deserve such pampering. The wife's Scion tC... eh, not so much, even though the oil is super cheap for me, having bought it during Kmart's clearance sales.
I found a flaw in their oil change... They did the drain n fill AND THEN changed the old oil filters. I would have put on NEW oil filter and NEW oil, then idle for X amount of time and then change the oil and oil filters again like they did.
