My '96 Saturn has vibrations, EVERYWHERE. It has gotten so bad that one can hear it while standing outside the vehicle. You can even see the fender vibrate!

Anyways, I *think* I've found the location of the two main vibrations.

1) Dash vibrates significantly at cold startup. Vibration occurs only at idle (0MPH).

2) Vibration comes from left rear end of the vehicle. VERY loud during idle (OMPH), otherwise it's not noticeable.

My guess?

1) Upper/Lower Engine and transmission mounts.

2) Left Rear Strut Mount?

TIA.

The biggest vibration culprit in Saturns like yours is the top engine mount on the passenger side (the torque-axis mount). It's really easy to replace too.

Change that and much of the bad vibes will probably go away. The vibration from the rear could be from old exaust hangers..or a heat shield that's contacting your exaust.
