I hope this is the correct area to post this… I just got a call from 18008889597. The recording claimed to be a courtesy call from Verizon Wireless and claimed that I had been selected to receive a $460.00 credit toward my wireless usage. All I need do to claim the credit is visit vzw460.com. Curious, I navigated to the indicated URL and was met with a very official looking page styled after Verizon’s but with a copyright date of a 2012. It asks you to log in with your username, password, and account pin. Dubious, I called VZW. They confirmed my assumption that it was a scam and the customer service representative indicated it was an ongoing issue.
