Verizon is doubling early termination fees

According to one of my Franchise Owners that used to work for Samsungs Cellphone division up here. He said CDMA is better for densly populated areas and GSM is better for more spread out spaces...

I'm month to month on VZW. I wished T-Mobile had a better network AND supported HSDPA 3G on the 850/1900 bands, and that Apple woudn't get their panties in a bunch when it comes down to unlocked iPhones. A cell phone shop at the Asian mall said you can use an iPhone on the T-Mo network, all it involves really is "jailbreaking" the phone and removing the AT&T SIM and MNC locks and then "fooling" it to activate.

"Well sir, you auto-renew your commitment every 2 years unless you terminate it in writing." So I refused to pay and told them to kiss my behind. A year or so later I start getting collection calls for the $250 fee and then notice they reported me as a deadbeat to the credit bureaus for refusing to pay it.

If Verizon was the last company on earth with phone/internet service, I still wouldn't do business with them again.

I helped a company build out a datacenter a year ago. They spent about $50 million dollars and bought a whole bunch of fiber connections (OC-3 to OC-48). I specifically spec'ed the location outside of Verizon territory so I wouldn't funnel a penny to those clowns. Never again.

Auto renew? What kinda [censored] is that? They put you in a contract without you signing for it?

Auto Renew is also why I canceled my XM radio and OnStar! They do it too!
