Vehicle ramps test by our favorite utuber

What are your thoughts on use, safety, etc? At 71 I have developed a healthy fear of getting squashed. Thanks in advance.
For a quick oil change I use the ramps, the 16,000lb ones are plenty strong for the size cars I work on most are under 4,000lb. Believe it or not stands are not going to help much if she slides on ramps, set the parking brake and chock the wheels.

I don't like ramps but sometimes I have to when the lifts are full and work's gotta get done. I won't use that metal style as it just does not have reinforcements and you can see them bend and fail at the lowest load in the video. I was very surprised at the major weight the plastic ramps held up to! If you place a small shim or piece of wood under the front of the ramp they won't slide when driving up and of course the goal is to go smoothly up and not vary speed or throttle as that is what makes the ramps move the most.

I made my own ramps from 2”x12” wood planks. Three are screwed together plus space for a fourth piece. About 8” of lift if I use the forth piece of wood.

Total cost was less than $20. I’ve had them for over 15 years.
Show us what they look like please. I have some Rhino Ramps but the last time I had the Pilot on them It looked like they started to deform some. They don't slip much as my driveway apron is rough and the ramps are on the steeper angle to basically level out the vehicles if that makes sense.

Look up "diy car ramps" and like a dozen pretty good videos will come up, most of them made from scrap lumber.
