I really wanted some race ramps but I just could not justify the cost.
Yeah.... That is getting into lift territory.I really wanted some race ramps but I just could not justify the cost.
Hey, that’s my patent -Does he test the pine-o-ramp? If he’s not comparing to the gold standard, then it’s not a legitimate test.
Allot like mine especially the long “nose” so the vehicle pins the ramp - not as prone to slide like in this test. I did put stops on mine and chock the rear tires … Rubber door mats do better than his wet T shirt contest …Some old ones I got from work they never used. For tankers

It's really sad that you can't understand why he tested those things...Here's a tip for him. If you put ramps on a shiny polished epoxy coated floor, they might slip/ If you drive past the end of the ramp, they might tip, IF you hit the brakes while on the ramp and moving too fast, they might skid!
That fixes most of the issues he demonstrated.
I didn't see one failure that could have been prevented by using them properly. It's really sad that you can't understand why he tested those things...
Glue it and screw it, the only way to be sure.Hey, that’s my patent -
the full quote is “Pine-O-Ramp, Glued and Screwed”![]()
never had a problem in 2 different manual vehicles.I'd rather not burn up my clutches trying to drive up car ramps![]()
It's good to know which is the most "idiot proof".... speaking from experience.... I have metal ones with reinforcing bars. I did go over them once with the Tracker, put a bit of dent in the rocker seams, but it wasn't resting on them, repositioned the ramps, and went up the ramps more carefully ever since.... With my Neon I had to put a short 2x6 in front of them to get the bumper over them.I didn't see one failure that could have been prevented by using them properly.
And select indoor lumber that bonds better bcs its dry …Glue it and screw it, the only way to be sure.
I always put it in 4Hi - my GM’s don’t see nearly as much off-road time as my Jeep - so that system needs to be exercised anyway …I didn't see one failure that could have been prevented by using them properly.
