Vehicle ramps test by our favorite utuber

Here's a tip for him. If you put ramps on a shiny polished epoxy coated floor, they might slip/ If you drive past the end of the ramp, they might tip, IF you hit the brakes while on the ramp and moving too fast, they might skid!
That fixes most of the issues he demonstrated.

It's really sad that you can't understand why he tested those things...

I didn't see one failure that could have been prevented by using them properly.
It's good to know which is the most "idiot proof".... speaking from experience.... I have metal ones with reinforcing bars. I did go over them once with the Tracker, put a bit of dent in the rocker seams, but it wasn't resting on them, repositioned the ramps, and went up the ramps more carefully ever since.... With my Neon I had to put a short 2x6 in front of them to get the bumper over them.
If I need 4 sometime, I will build some wood ones, maybe a bit taller.

I always put it in 4Hi - my GM’s don’t see nearly as much off-road time as my Jeep - so that system needs to be exercised anyway …
Much better control up the ramps especially if 4 ramps …
The Lexus slides them - a rubber mat helps …
