i had used MaxLife ATF on my Acura and Subaru, it's not approved by Honda... it's different feel to the OE fluid but in a positive way. i think MaxLife will not destroy the trans. how is the reputation of the AT unit on the car? reason for my question is i can see if warranty work on the trans is needed and none-OE fluid was used , Hyundai will focus on their energy on deny or delay. even if fluid did not cause the damage. i am sure they have vacant spot on the lot to have the car park there for weeks, til issue resolved or not, they may also charge parking fee.

I've performed literally hundreds of transmission fluid exchanges on Hyundai's and Kia's at VIOC with Maxlife ATF fluid and I continue to see those customers returning for services with the transmission fluid listed in their records and they seem to function just fine.

Those crazy kids on www.elantraxd.com are still claiming using
Valvoline Maxlife ATF will destroy the trans in 500 miles! Others
on the site say it will destroy it "within a few miles."

I dont know if these kids are all brainwashed or what?!

If they are still promoting that fib, why would you believe them when they tell you anything else? Time to find a new forum.

If Hyundai requires you to specifically use their product to keep the warranty they must provide it for FREE. It is part of the Magnuson Moss warranty act. I can not find it, but I know it exists.
