valvoline synpower vs total Quartz

Hi all.

for my next oilchange. i am considering one of theese to oil. The Valvoline synpower 5w30 FE VS the Total quartz 9000 future. based on the technical datasheet. would would you choose? the engine is a mazda 1.8 mzr. Now i am using the valvoline. but if the other one seems better i want to try that one.

the total oils should be identical to the one mazda sells as dexelia 5w30.

US Synpower through API SM has pretty rapid TBN depletion.
This doesn't appear to be the same formulation, though.
Based upon what you've posted, flip a coin.
The Total is slightly thicker and has a little lower VI, although neither of these oils have particularly high VIs.
Which can you buy more cheaply?
I might just choose based upon cost, since I can't see much difference between the two.
If you've used the Valvoline, you might want to try the Total.
 
I Can get The total quartz a Good bit cheaper. Yeah i migh try the total. :-)

But doesn't the synpower seems more true synthetic then the total when looking at the pour point?
