I'm not sure either. Maybe more SS and AN, different/more additives or typo.

I still can't get 5w30 without VII even with more tweaking today.

I have the impression from here and many other sites that many people believe that Mobil 1 5W30 has no VIIs. However there are many people that believe that believe many things that I know that I don't know. I appreciate the discussion though. Thanks all and sorry for redirecting the thread.

Here's a nice 10w30 blend:

67% SpectraSyn® 5
16% SpectraSyn Ultra® 150
8.5% Synesstic® 5
8.5% Synesstic® 12

62.0 cSt @40°C
10.0 cSt @100°C
VI 147

No VII needed.
