How did this post go on for 20 pages? The original poster tells us he's putting this oil into a spanking new Ford. If I were in the aisle at Walmart and saw an oil whose tagline is "restore and protect," my first though would be "What old beater on its last legs would I put this into."
Exactly my thoughts when I first read it. Not the application it was intended for.

Esters are a broad family. The ones used in motor oils do not have a fruity smell, in fact they have little to no odor.
My sister Ester is a Broad. I will admit that whenever she greets me with a kiss to my cheek, she smells like Baby Powder.
Ester says she doesn't like kissing Graybeards and she changes her own Valvoline Syn oil.

Looks like this oil will NOT be sold at Walmart and is exclusive to overpriced AutoZone
Don’t see them releasing what they are calling a breakthrough oil and then restricting it to one auto parts chain. And it has shown up on Amazon already.

My bet is there's quite a bit of interest in the product.

Went to the local autozone and got me some.
I'll send a sample off virgin sample off to JG Lubricant Sevices Inc tomorrow. They use Oil Analyzers Inc. I'll get both TBN & TAN
Here is the virgin report. Doesn't look too special to me?
Oxidation is low, so not a lot of esters.

I asked for both TBN & TAN????

I'll call them tomorrow and see if they will come up with it.
