Valvoline Restore and Protect

If you could get on a Cruise Ship and visit this place here and bring us this oil it would be awesome.

I would call first Valvoline sales team and ask them if they can get me some jugs of the Australian 10W-40, before I deal with shipping from Australia.
I can tell you that on a ship will take no less than 3-4 months, but on a plane could arrive in a couple weeks, but will be at double the price.

Wouldn't it be a laugh if the Valvoline Restore and Protect were manufactured in the US and someone payed shipping from Australia and tariffs to bring it back to the US?
I wonder what this statement is worth from the PDF I linked earlier...

"This information only applies to products manufactured in the following location(s): Australia"

It would surprise me if it was actually manufactured here, but I really have little industry knowledge so it could easily be true.

It's a joke. Geeze.

It is manufactured in Australia. Most Valvoline oils sold in Australia are made in Australia.

I read on here, quite a few people recommending Valvoline Restore and Protect engine oil. With it just coming out, do you have any significant evidence of the claims it makes?
I have read on other forums where it has quieted noisy engines, looking through the valve cover is cleaner, another one is where they used a bore scope on a Toyota engine..
Curious if any of you all seen any evidence..

Thanks..
Another Auto-Rx?

Speed Lake can regeratate some serious oil facts. If you believe Him, there is a little proof.
I wish I disassembled and took pictures before and after. I ran 5 intervals with Valvoline Restore and Protect on two cars with 180k miles, run great, burn no oil. With just the age and mileage on them I wanted reassurance internals, rings were clean. The Corolla was a fleet car for a short time so I wanted to clean things up.
The car runs great on it , just low OCI using it. I kept it right at 5k miles and used extended service oil filters of quality. I didn't cut one open but felt confident the filter wouldn't overload with carbon, gunk, and sludge.
I'm back to Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 oil and filters.
I commute so long I have to extend intervals big time. I drive early morning and all highway miles. I can safely get 7k to 10k miles no problem.

MICHAEL WARHOLIC: Oh, absolutely. So, that’s my entire life, right? So, we’re a date-driven company. As a scientist, you have to rely on the data. So, we do a ton of testing across the board for all of our oils and these different categories too. So, for restore and protect it’s about deposits, showing the deposits are removed. For high mileage, it’s actually helping to condition the seals to make sure they last longer. For advanced, it’s about wear protection. And there are tests in the industry that you can use to quantify the amount of those parameters. At Valvoline, we even go above and beyond that. We do even more testing, on-road testing, dynamometer testing, to make sure our oils do what they say they do.

DAN MAFFETT: That’s great. So, the proof is in the testing so you can swear to everything written.

MICHAEL WARHOLIC: Absolutely.

I have used it for first time a noticed it has a sulfur type smell like gear oil. It was very noticeable to me. Anyone else notice this?
I put Valvoline Restore and Protect in my daughter's car (2010 CR-V) last month and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, so it must not be too strong of a smell. I opened the jug and poured it in like I usually do, then wiped out the funnel with paper towels. Nothing. I've heard about the smell, but it didn't cross my mind to put my nose to it to smell for myself.

Not sure if they've been posted before, but here are some listed differences between 5w30 and 10w40 for interest now that I've found those PDF's.

Thanks for posting proof that the 10W-40 Valvoline Restore and Protect unicorn exists! This makes me think Valvoline will eventually bring xW-40 to the U.S. I'm sure the execs are drunk on Valvoline Restore and Protect's success and will look for any avenue to keep the party going. It's just the logical next step and a smart business decision.
