The one Walmart by me doesn't even have shelf space for it. Only thing I saw there was when they had one 5qt on clearance last year that I picked up.

From BrendanC cut and posts I see lots of gunk in the cans.
Some of that debris can simply be from piston ring blow-by, even when using oils that aren't suppose to do major cleaning like Valvoline Restore and Protect. You've seen filter C&Ps after someone has used Valvoline Restore and Protect ... some are majorly loaded with debris that was a result of the cleaning process.
But not yesterday. 1x 5qt 5W-20 was it (and single quarts at like $11 each). Manager checked his system for stock and most I pass didn't show any. Closest to work showed 10x 0W-20, no others. I went on way home they only had 3 jugs in the back. No Valvoline Restore and Protect, at least 5 qt on shelves.
This didn’t age well.

I've been using Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W30 in my ‘14 TSX with the K24. I bought the car 6 months ago with 25k miles on it and it had every 7500ish OCIs so it went a few years between dealership oil changes. The first 2 OCIs I did with Valvoline Restore and Protect were pretty short (2k miles and 3400 miles respectively) and I just started the 3rd interval yesterday. The first picture is right at the start of the 2nd interval - varnish (or whatever that is) is visible with only a small portion cleaned showing bare metal. The second pic was last night showing quite a bit more cleaned up. So maybe 2000 miles of Valvoline Restore and Protect use on the first pic and 5400 total miles of Valvoline Restore and Protect use on the 2nd pic.
Not a miracle “HOLY COW!!!!!” before and after but some anecdotal evidence showing cleaning aside from only piston deposits. About 10k more miles/2 OCIs left to go.

Some folks are cynics and base their whole personality on that so evidence to the contrary is to be ignored at all costs.
I posted it in the filter forum, but I changed my oil for the first time on Valvoline Restore and Protect at only 2000 miles and got a good deal of gunk out of the engine in the filter. Carbon deposits in nearly every pleat in the filter, like fine black sand with some larger chunks as well. Here's a link to the photos.
There are VOAs regarding detergents in conjunction with used oil analysis. They are all stellar.

Hyundai / Kia owners should probably use Valvoline Restore and Protect full time for a 4,000 mile OCI .
Yep. Anything that’s prone to sticking oil control rings should run it from day 1 IMO.
Will this oil benefit for the vehicles that sit and not drive often ?
