Valvoline Restore and Protect 5qt jugs $25.99
Bimart (OR/WA) sale ends 10/13/25

I saw this at my local Bimart store around the Portland OR metro. Bimart is a members only chain store in my state. I only saw 5w30 on the shelves but other weights might be available.

Nice. I just bought 4 gallons 2 days ago from Walmart. 4 bucks off each would have been a nice discount.

Kind of surprising seeing this oil on sale as it seems it can hardly be kept on the shelves in a lot of areas.

I've never heard of Bimart and I live in Washington.

5w30 and 5w20 in your picture, good price, haven't bought oil from bimart for years now.
You're right, I overlooked the 5w20 and thought they were all 5w30 jugs. I'll have to go back or to a different location to see if they carry 0w20. I have a 2nd gen Prius with over 200K currently running PUP 5w30 but might try a few jugs of this 5w30 R&P to clean things up.

I used it to clean up a 20 year old motorcycle engine that was burning small amounts of oil, but you could smell it a lot, it's never ran better than after several hundred miles on this stuff.

They are mostly in central and eastern Washington. The only couple stores in Western WA are in Port Orchard and Aberdeen that I am aware of. I used to drive to OR a couple times a month for my job and regularly shopped sales on oil and Purolator filters at Bi-Mart. Along with no tax, it was a good deal and not out of my way.

I posted a deal on Bi-Mart a couple years ago and it was pulled down by the moderators as too regional (OR, WA and ID) and small market (80 stores) to merit a post... :( Maybe they are more enlightened, or just haven't seen the OP's post yet?

Goodness members only? I've shopped at Bi-mart every time I have been to Pendleton. or to visit my stepson and never been a member and always get the discount.

They are supposed to check for your Bi-Mart membership card. I've always been asked as I come in...there is a low door that you have to be buzzed in by customer service. But "membership" is just a formality...its $5 for life. Really! And absolutely no one asks for the card when you check out, only as you enter.

Used to be $10. I lost my card several years ago...they tried to look me up to issue another, couldn't find me in their system and just made a new account at no cost.

When I first moved to Oregon decades ago I was unfamiliar and wandered into the nearby Bimart. They asked for my membership card to which I obviously didn't have. They promptly advised that the store was members only and wouldn't even allow me to enter to browse. Years later I finally saved up and was able to afford the $5 lifetime membership.

I think they do an open house at certain times of the year and allow non-members access. I would say recently they barely blink an eye when I display the card when I enter. Half the time there is no one stationed at the front desk by the door.

For $5 you get issued a green plastic card and a yellow secondary card for one other person. Like someone else mentioned, the store is like an old Kmart. It's a small footprint general retail store stuck in the 80s/90s era selling household goods, clothing, food staples, off brand electronics, pet feed, etc. Typically I see either older age folks shopping for general merchandise or the certain male demographics stocking up on firearm ammunition.

Back around 2010 you could pick up bricks of 22's (500 rounds) of various brands, Remington, Winchester, or CCI for $15. That was their everyday price for years. They had case price deals on 5.56 M855 and 9mm too occasionally. They would have sales on Mobil full synthetic 5 quart jugs for $15 or so (not Mobil 1). Good sale prices on Purolator oil filters. Being no sales tax Oregon, I would load up on all this stuff.

Do their employees also look "stuck in time"?

In South Glens Falls, NY was a single family run store called "Joy", the family's name. It sounds like Bimart was cut from the same cloth.
It was the best as they always had what you needed.
Alas, time marched past them and today the land features a McDonald's.
