Valvoline Modern Engine question.....

I wish we knew more about VME. I think Valvoline has always made very good oil. What makes VME so expensive is beyond me. It could very well be some ester component.

....oddly enough, their youtube video talks about the importance of Noack yet VME has higher Noack numbers than their regular FS. LOL!!

Years ago I spoke with their lead chemist, Tom Smith, who was very open about seal conditioner questions I had. I don't think he is there anymore. They are tight-lipped about the product and can't share anything other than what is already available on the website, which isn't much.

Kind of spendy at Walmart for $34.74 per jug and it doesn't get very much shelf space. The current $15 rebate for this oil is nice, but I can still buy a jug of Mobil 1 for much less and get a $12 rebate at least a couple of times a year.
