Hi guys,

I was just wondering, since I'm switching me '98 Blazer over to Maxlife, would there be any benefit to adding the Synpower Oil Treatment to it?

Sure! I'm not sure what the thinning effect of the seal conditioners in Maxlife would undergo with a full bottle of Synpower Oil Treatment, so you may want to start with a half-bottle (7-8 oz) poured into a measuring cup first - then into the engine. That stuff is super-thick... so pouring into a cup-first works best for me.

Don't concern yourself over it's eye-popping rust-color either. That's the ugliest stuff I ever poured into my engine in my 37 years of owning vehicles... lol

This treatment is no snake oil.... just more mega-goodies already found in today's name-brand oils.

If you were to use it, then 1oz per quart. A waste though if you are doing short 3k mile OCI's.

Somewhere on this forum, I read that someone called Valvoline Tech line, and they said it (Maxlife Dino) had 15%? PAO Syn in it, even though it's not marketed as syn blend.

Change your PCV.

Thanks for all the replies, guys!

I guess I'll just save money & just use Maxlife straight up.

BTW, I have used the Synpower stuff & agree it's thick.
