Valvoline DOT 3 / DOT 4 Synthetic Users ?

Hyundai manual says to use either Dot 3 or Dot 4 brake fluid . I'm nearing two years on OEM fluid and do not know what the factory fill was . The Valvoline Dot 3 / Dot 4 Synthetic seems to be reasonably priced and a trusted brand - Any users or experience with it ?

It's a good product. I think it's all I've ever used.

It doesn't matter if the factory is dot 3 or 4 as they are compatible and basically the same type of fluid with two different boiling point specs.

The only one that isn't the same is dot 5.

Any Dot 3 or 4 brand will do you fine. I wouldn't sweat it.

Also as an FYI, all brake fluid is synthetic

I always love when they slap SYNTHETIC on the side of brake fluid to try and sell more lol...

Been using it for exactly 13 months today (heh) in my Pathfinder with no problems at all. Still pretty clear in color, going to wait another year before bleeding again with the same fluid.

All brake fluid is synthetic, and so are the bottles!

I use anybody's brake fluid- I go by price.
Unless you have very special race needs, this is a great way to go.

I use it, it stays clean for a long time. It might not be the absolute best, but it is great for such an easy to find fluid.
