I've a winter set of tires (Goodyear Ultra Grip GW3's) that I
added a set of those plastic pressure monitors on the valve
stems. Well after putting the tires and rims back on the
vehicle and attempting to readjust the tire pressure the
dang things will not come off. I'm not just trying to unscrew
these by hand but also used needle nose pliers to hold
stem et, et.

Is there a solvent or other method to get these off without
damaging the valve stems??
Thanks,

I've used those before (the ones that will show you the grean, yellow, red depending on air pressure). I never had a problem getting them off. My problem with them was they would fall apart. Nothing really bad happens, other than they look like crap and can't perform their function without the "gauge" part.

Try using a regular set of pliers. Also sounds like they may have cross-threaded. You may have to try to tighten them a little, and then remove with pliers.
