Since this stuff gets such good UOA's, I was thinking about using it in my lower mileage engines. They don't have any leaks or any problems, but people are getting longer OCI's with this stuff. Plus the price is right too on it.

It stopped oil leaks in my old Dakota at 80k miles, so using it ahead of time may have prevented them in the first place. I would think go for it.

I probably wouldn't use it as it has additives in there to swell the seals. If it were my car, I'd stay away unless I had a leak or it burned oil.

Have had my Dakota on it since 65,000 miles. It quieted the engine a good bit and seems to have added 1 or 2 MPG. Valvoline is all I use. Maxlife is an excellent oil and I'd say use it with confidence.

I emailed valvoline a while back asking if it is safe to use in new cars besides just older high mileage motors, they replied back there is absolutely nothing wrong with running maxlife in new or rebuilt motors. It is just simply recommended for older motors as it has more cleaning detergents and additives, and seal conditioners.

I would not be to concerned about it.

Maybe it only swells up the dried out shrunken seals.
