I just purchased a vacuum chamber sealer which has a small rotary vane vacuum pump and calls for ISO 100 vacuum pump oil.
I would like to use a synthetic oil in it, and this is a unit I will be sealing food with.
It seems difficult to locate ISO 100 synthetic vacuum pump oil on places like amazon, the best I can find is amsoil compressor oil, which does also mention vacuum pumps in the description.
Are all synthetic ISO 100 compressor oils suitable for vacuum pumps? I'd much rather get a gallon (lifetime supply) of this stuff for the same price than a quart of amsoil.
Both are non-detergent, low-foaming, anti-corrosion, etc.
Would this be suitable for a home vacuum chamber sealer?
I did read this thread, and it seems to be more for larger equipment, and I would prefer a synthetic oil, just because lol

Vacuum Pump Oil
I just purchased a 2-stage vacuum pump from Harbor Freight and have a question about oil for these units. Included in the box is a white (no label) bottle of what looks like clear mineral oil. I went ahead and used it, but I will probably want to change it out after the first couple uses, to...
