I suppose its a re-run on the SPEED channel from last week, race 18 at "Bathurst". Very entertaining, very nice road course. They used to run these guys all the time on SPEED. not so much any more

Is this with those two dudes, Paul and Tanner or something like that? I can't stand that Paul guy. My wife loves watching Top Gear with me, [censored] I think she loves that show more than me. But we both can't stand Paul for more than 2 minutes. Ugh.

Bathurst was last weekend, real good race if you are a Holden fan. I plan on going to it next year, and if i can get enough time off of work, ill go to the AFL Grand Final too.

It's fun to drive, in spite of its 40MPH speed limit...we go round it a few times a year.

You're thinking of "Battle of the Supercars" with Paul Tracy and Tanner Foust. The V8 Supercars is Australia's premier stock car racing series where they run Holden Commodores and Ford Falcons.

I caught that shout-out last week Shannow, I flipped and flipped again looked ahead in the schedule for a delay but I have a slow satellite box. That is and always will be with me some of the greatest racing on earth. I don't know car numbers or drivers. Its race car drivers.
That track was awesome cork screws & grade changes, straights that make engine builders have lack of oxygen. Why wouldn't you watch that. SPEED CHANNEL needs to be more up to date so things are live. There were Nascar worthy wrecks! One made the Dave Dispain show.

The track is awesome. the twisty bits over the top aren't given justice unless you are going over it. 60km/hr in a road car is memorable, let alone hundreds of km.

Something that I appreciated when I saw them do it...

The engines are limited to 7,500, which is a bit of a doddle in the small block architecture nowadays, so they are all running ultra short deck heights for low C of G.

But with a few thousand revs between the limiter and the capabilities of components, in their qualifying sessions, they were dropping a few gears to get improved total braking (through engine braking)...haven't done the calcs, but that's some pretty serious revs...

Corrected it for ya. They don't even bother with the roundy-'round stuff there, for the most part (thankfully!).

BTW; I've seen Tanner win the very first U.S. Rally Cross event (Brit/Euro wheel to wheel, high speed style, NOT our 'autocross on dirt'), live, in a prepped Ford Fiesta.

I'm also going to the next one at New Jersey Motorsports Park the first weekend in November.

Yup, no ovals for V8 Supercars. I hear that some former/current F1, IRL and DTM drivers will be co-driving in an upcoming race, did you see/hear that? If it's true I can't wait to see it on Speed!

Yes, it is for this weekend race, the Gulf Coast 600.

I hope, since they will be quite US known people competing, that they will show more than the main accident, the main overtake, and the finish.

Usually, during Christmas time, as the racing is quite low, they used to show the V8 season on speedTV. I hope they will do that again this season.
