I'm using some Tech2000 synthetic blend Mercon V/Dexron compatible ATF in my Corolla's power steering system. I drained a small bit of fluid out of the resevoir a few days ago using a ________ dollar store turkey baster, then topped off with the ATF and drove a few hundred miles. I drained the fluid resevoir earlier today using the manual fluid transfer pump I bought then topped off again using the ATF. Won't hurt anything will it?

I've had ATF+4 in four PS systems along with Magnefines and coolers for anywhere from one to three months now. I don't expect to need to mess with them again for a long, long time.

Mobil 1 synthetic ATF is 8.99 a quart last time I looked, the Tech2000 junk is 4.98. I only paid 350 for the car so I'm not putting anything too fancy in it

I used ARX in both PS systems on my cars, drove for a couple thousand miles then drained & refilled the reservoirs with amsoil atf, drove a week or so then refilled again like 4 times each. Last winter when it got cold the PS pump didn't groan like it did with the old fluid & steering effort was down when first starting out in the morning. Mine are both 93 corollas, one with 176,000 mi & the other with 139,000.
