No design flaw in this Purolator, Problem with the internet, fiction flows faster then fact.
Here is a fact ! Make sure to scroll all the way through the thread, lots of photos further down as others called into question my photos because they were so perfect of a perfectlydesigned MANUFACTURED Purolator.[/quote]
FIFY-there's really never been any problem with Puro's DESIGN, they were a perfectly serviceable filter in the old pre-Mann & Hummel days-it's the horrible construction & QC that has made them a real risk to use.

I'm wondering if M&H changed the design of the media when they took over and made it more "brittle". If the media was so brittle it wouldn't tear as easily when pleats get a little wide.
