From my BIL's FR-S. Was run almost 6k miles with Pennzoil Platinum Euro 0W-40. Replaced with STP HM 10w30 and an STP blue can. Was very surprised to see these ugly pleats and tears.

Enjoy:

Not to sound dumb but whats a FR S vehicle

Thank You for c&p

It's the Scion (or Toyota?) 2-door sportster that is a twin of the Subaru BRZ (?). Has a Subaru flat 4 in it.

Wow, that's disappointing. Where did you get this filter? I've never heard of a 557830, that numbering scheme doesn't seem familiar... is it a jobber filter?

Interesting there is an extra 5 on the beginning.

There is also the Wix 57830, with only one 5 in the part number.

Still sucks that it tore. Thank you for the cut and post

Odd. Was it in a 57830 box? It shows here they retired that part number...

Plus if you search the O'Reilly website the only Wix PN that's available is 57830. What's the date code on the filter? I just think it's really odd you ended up with a 557830...

They're both almost great.

If the pleat spacing was even all the way around, it would have been a great filter.

If the car had another 50hp, it would have been a great car.
