As long as you have a place to reclaim the refrigerant in a timely and cost effective manner. You have done more work in the past 19 years than I likely will.

I move often and just don't have anyone to "go to". I don't have the time to play games, so thought to buy this machine.

Now I found out a new requirement. To buy bulk freon, I need to be licensed..to get licensed one has to take a test..I took a practice test and scored 100 percent. Test seemed like a joke, like anyone could pass the test without knowing the material.

I got my 609 Certificate from MACs back in 2007 or so, mostly to be able to buy R12 for my 92 Cavalier. They sent me a laminated card after passing the test. You could buy R134a without it. I bought several 30 lb tanks of R134a some years back and I still didn't have to have a certificate to do so. I still have two full tanks and one with a little left in it so I'm probably set for life.

Yeah, the license is the cheapest part of repairing air conditioning equipment.

Does it do R-1234yf? I recently did my first AC fix with a lot of help from some experts here. Looking at My Toyota it only takes like 1.2 lbs of R-1234yf. I think that would be far more temperamental to overfill / underfill vs the older systems it seems?
