Remember reading a few threads postulating that gasoline in Europe contains less sulfur than what we get here in the USA. But from what I can gather online the Euro5/6 and Tier 3 in the US are now the same at GF6 oils here in the USA are for the most part mid SAPS oils similar to C3 Euro oils. Is this accurate?

US gas should now be under 10ppm, although there's exceptions for some batches and some refiners can exceed the limit but can buy credits from other refiners that stay well below the limit, the 10ppm is based on an annual average at the refinery, I think though the can't exceed 80ppm in any batch though. SP/GF-6 oils are going more towards mid-SAPS because the new Dexos standard will limit ash to .9%
