Giving us a total capacity of 8,312MW at this facility.

Bruce, which is located in Kincardine Ontario, currently is our biggest Nuclear plant (the refurbishment of which my buddy was also involved in) and supplies Ontario with roughly 30% of its total power.

The upgrades to Darlington will make it higher output than Bruce and the Japanese plant (which has an installed capacity of 7,965 MW), effectively making it the most powerful Nuclear power site in the world

Congratulations from the state with the largest number of active reactors and generating capacity. Worked for a steam power generation repair shop while in college and we did a fair amount of work at nuclear plants - big proponent of well-done nuclear energy.

This is the Streator Cayuga Ridge South Wind Farm as seen from a Southwest 737-700 on the long SW approach to Midway.

Yeah, I've read one too. I think the knee-jerk reaction to Fukushima put them in a bit of a spot.
 
I wish the US would pick up the CANDU design as well. It really is probably the best, most practical reactor design currently in operation for commercial use. Not that the AP1000 is bad by any stretch of the imagination, but it still isn't as impressive to me as the CANDU reactor design is.
 
I'm forming an opinion that much like the Interstate system was for defence, a lot of the US nuclear power system was defence based as well, to produce plutonium at rates greater than needed for other uses.

Possibly a part of the "waste" issue now, whereas other designs don't push that particular boundary.
