The 4T65e shift problems are well documented here.

Transgo shift kit will greatly prolong the life of your transmission if it's not toast. I need one installed in my Buick. Might let a transmission shop do it they said should only be two hours labor.

I have good news 901 Memphis. The Transgo shift kit DID help with my shifts and hopefully will keep the p1811 away like ls1Mike suggested. My MAF sensor was reading wrong and causing driving issues even though no CEL was on. Kept thinking the transmission was going bad, but it thankfully wasn't. The pictorial LS1 Mike provided gave me the confidence to do it at home. Definitely worth every penny spent on it and more!

I'm preparing for a transgo kit, I have a jug of Maxlife, a new Dorman pan with drain plug and a new Wix filter so far. I need to save up for the labor on the kit, I really don't want to put it in myself. I am going to try to get the shop to put in the shift kit along with the new pan and filter at the same time. I still need another jug of fluid too.
