Here's my UOA. Not really sure how the numbers look due to the lack of CVT-3 information out there. I submitted a request for the lab to create a CVT-3 category. Could this explain why the "total base" is missing? This Subaru is used for 4 mile round trip work commutes and personal vehicle in MN. A 4.5qt drain/ fill was accomplished after this sampling. I'd say 25-35k intervals would be optimal. Feedback from CVT experts would be much appreciated on fluid condition. Viscosity seems much lower than some of the other aftermarket universal cvt fluid offerings online. There has been some speculation CVT-3 is just a fuel efficient version of CVT-2 for the TR580 transmissions. Hopefully Idemitsu launches the aftermarket fluid. The OEM Subaru bottle I used has Idemistu logo on the back.

I believe it is 5.9-6.3 cSt or such and lower than most at 7.1 cSt.

Drain and fill fluid after another 25k and analyze to see how it is trending, because it is trending, not snapshots that matter.

HPL CVT, Amsoil CVT, or Redline CVT may suffice as well.

It’s probably sub 6 cst. The Valvoline fluid is 5.6 I believe. I may send a virgin sample out.
