UOA sampling question

So i was planning on taking a sample of my buddies oil from his Nissan.

Well... we forgot to until the very end of the drain. Basically we filled half the container from the drips coming out of the drain hole. The rest we get from inside the oil filter.

How screwed up are these results gonna be?

Hard to tell. Most likely not a representative sample though.

Call the lab you are planning to use and ask them. If they say it'll work, then also note it on the submittal form and maybe they can comment on any potential abnormalities in the results in the report they send to you.
