UOA Sample question

I messed up taking my first oil sample. I of course forgot to have a container with me when I removed the plug. So by the time I got back under the car again I captured the last bit of oil coming out. Volume wise I got enough, but Blackstone says not to use the first or last part of the flow. I can't use the oil from the drain pan as there was some used oil already in there.

So my question is, should I use this sample or should I just wait until the next oil change?

darn, or an accurate sample. don't waste your 20.00 getting one that isnt right

Thanks guys. That's kind of what I figured.

See the end of the pan will have the most contaminents it will be a odd reading wait for next time

If you ran the engine and the oil was hot....I dought any adverse effects will be encountered with using the last part of the oil out of the pan. Send it in!
