To be totally honest with you. I am not a fan of Mobil 1 I have used it and if I had to use it again because I could get it on sale I would use it again. His iron wear is nothing to be worried about at all. Also after the third OCI his iron wear should be in line with any other syn on the market as this is a trend for Mobil 1 for years. If he keep this OCI up and did an UOA about once a year with Mobil 1 his engine would last 200K and very well could be within specs upon tear down and be clean too.
The point being if you can get a syn PCMO at a better price over Mobil 1 with the same OCI you would be ok. If you want to use Mobil 1 you will still be ok.
