OIL TYPE & GRADE: Motul 300V 5W/40
FUEL TYPE: Gasoline (Unleaded)
OIL USE INTERVAL: KM

This first sample from your Toyota 3SGTE compares well with universal averages. They show
typical wear for this type of 2.0L Turbo after about 4,700 km. We aren't sure how long this sample was in
use, but it doesn't look like it was that long. Silicon read high and some of it is additive in the oil. Based on
the age of this engine (1,600 km), it could also be from a harmless sealer used to put the engine together.
No contamination was found and insolubles show good oil filtration. If this is this Toyota's first oil change, we
are impressed with the low wear levels.

I hope not since the last year they made a Celica was 2006 and the last model year for the GT-four was 1999.

Good to know, thanks!
Even if I saw that there are values out of range:
is there a FAQ so I can understand what is what?

Sorry!
I rebuilt the engine 2500 miles ago and the oil sample had 1000 miles.

Yes, the car is a 1995 Celica GT-four ST205 prepared for mountain's roads races, and I rebuilt its engine with Group B specs.

Nice car! But I think you mean Group A, not Group B.

Group B was canceled around 1986 IIRC, but this engine has Group B specs, so no power, boost or weight restrictions.

Toy DID have a never used, stillborn, AWD, Group B MR2 1st gen, but yes, it would be totally IMPOSSIBLE to get any actual parts from that program.
They also had a RWD Celica (2nd gen??) built to group B specs, which I'm guessing was really just a hyper-developed Group 4 car (2 liter, high boost, TRD/Team Toy Europe developed turbo engine) which only ran in the Safari Rally, I believe.

Like Wolf said, he just means that it was built beyond/outside of Group A WRC specs (kind of like U.S. Rallying's OPEN class).

Wolf, how many tarmac rallies (and/or street miles, if any) on this OCI???

The Group B Toyota Celica was a 3rd gen Celica with a modified T series engine. This is an S series engine never used in Group B. The S series engine was used in Group A however. There were not a lot of restrictions in Group A either, the main difference being they needed to build a minimum of 5000 cars rather than 200 (later on only 20) for Group B. To make Group A commercially viable they had to make them, lets say more sensible.

Exactly, the 503E engine, father of the GT-four's 3SGTE.
I got many of those parts years ago directly from TTE.

Yes, same here, Group B means not restrictored 2000cc turbo gasoline engine.

Those 1000 miles where only of dyno tests, track tests and one mountain road race.

You know that a 2000cc turbo gasoline can have more than 1000 hp... so yes... there were A LOT of restrictions!
