UOA 14 Sierra 0w20 dealer bulk

This is roughly 1,600 miles after afm/dod delete. This sample (2nd oil change) was ran 1,200 miles. The first run was 494 miles (didn’t sample that)
This is my dealer bulk oil 0w20 from my job. I use acdelco pf63 filters.
The oil is delivered by a Mobil truck.
This is my first uoa, so if I missed anything just ask.

That is a high amount of Silicon for that low of mileage. You mention your first time doing a UOA so could there have been a chance for cross contamination from dirt while filling the test cup? Do you plan to run the next interval out further or stay at 1200 miles?

I did an afm/dod delete with a camshaft, and a laundry list of stuff, including rear main, timing chain tensioners, oil pump, and so on. I think it’s mostly from the rtv to reseal everything.
 
Cam and lifters breaking in with 10ppm after only 1.6k which is normal and silicone is likely from the rtv which is also normal. Did you check the cam bearings for any excess wear before putting the new cam in.

Yes we looked over everything. Everything looked great.

Thanks, I find the manual states the following (as you already know). Just found it interesting how they decided on viscosity. Was the camshaft still in good shape?

"Viscosity Grade SAE 0W-20 is the best viscosity grade for the 5.3L and 6.2L V8 engines. SAE 5W-30 is the best viscosity grade for the 4.3L V6, and 6.0L V8 engines. Do not use other viscosity grade oils such as SAE 10W-30, 10W-40, or 20W-50."

The oem camshaft was rough due to lifter collapsing. I swapped to the btr oem grind cam (I don’t remember the exact part number rn).
I actually plan to run 5w30 after a few runs of 0w20.
