Used Oil Filter Analysis: Should the used filter be cold, warm, or hot when it is taken off? Should it go directly into a Zip-lock bag?
I looked in Oil Filters and I looked in UOA, didn't see this in either although I recall seeing it. On one hand I offer an apology, on the other I point out that this site has grown so much, so fast, maybe the admininstrators need to add new topics!

Thank you, Patman! Patman put me on to WearCheck, here in Canada. They contacted me that they will test the filter for $70 Canadian which I will pass on. Another thankyou to Danny at Toromont that told me of a place that is here in Winnipeg that will do it (National Testing Labs) but when contacted they said I should only do so if I think something is wrong (not the case) and I would have to specify what I think is wrong.
I'm going to pass on the testing but wanted to pass on the information to y'all. Also, I am inclined to pour the oil from the filter and have a $14 test done on it. I'd love your input as to what to look out for, some numbers will be rather high. Or should I just plain not do that? There is make-up oil and more Auto-RX in the engine now, I don't think I'll even consider a routine test for another month or so anyway.
Cheers
