I've owned this car since brand new and I needed to change the valve cover gasket. The first 3 oil changes were done at the dealer free of charge and then I switched between Valvoline Syntheic and PP from 15k - ~ 35k. From 35k onwards, I've been using M1 5W-30 with oil change intervals ~ 5k and up until recently it was extended to ~ 9k. Looks pretty good?

I was just going to ask that. The two guys at work had the problem and Toyota fixed them. They were using something to the tune of a quart every 500 to 800 miles.

Yours looks really clean!

No oil consumption at all. I'll post up a UOA in a little bit.

The issue was more with the '07-'09 burning oil, not the earlier ones. That's not to say the earlier ones won't, but the later ones (like mine) are more prone to it. Mine has an unknown history for the most part and it seemed to be somewhat neglected based on the varnish I saw under the filler cap, but it's only burning about a quart every 2,500 miles or so.

Must be a hit or miss issue. When i Had my 08 TC, did not have issues with oil burning even with some high rpm shifts. Maybe something that creeps up in the upper mileage brackets?
