Anyone know out of the two what is the better pick? Or used either recently and can give feedback? Rock auto only sells these two brands of kits for my application. Thanks

Can't comment on longevity or GPD but I helped my friend install a new UAC compressor in his Ford Escape last year and it is still working today. Is that an endorsement? I mean it didn't explode right away so that's something.

Thanks 👍

I've used UAC compressors and they are fine.

now if I lived in Florida or Arizona, or someplace similar, there is a chance I might be more picky.
The only other options I've seen are 2-300$ more just for the compressor alone, I'd like oem but not at that price

Compressors from both are usually okay, other components from both are not anywhere near my first choice
Bought one GPD kit with lines, accumulator and compressor. Compressor was from South Korea and still works. Some other parts were bad. High pressure line was bent and destroyed the orifice tube in it. What brand or source might you choose for AC parts? Thanks. Rock Auto GPD kit was bad in this case.

My experience is a series of one. Unclear if damage was from shipping. Maybe Rock Auto packaging is piss poor. One end of a tube in the shipment had punctured the shipping box. Can only tell about one experience with a large part from UAC. Bought a UAC condenser for same repair. Installed it and doesn't leak so far. But one of the peanut fitting attachments was oriented so it would not fit as I received it. Had to rotate the fitting on the tube it was on to make it fit. I don't think this is a recommended procedure but so far, does not leak.

Be aware of return policy. Seems to limit refunds on returns to 30 days only if not installed. There should be warranty for defective parts. https://www.rockauto.com/docs/warranty

Just wondering, any updates on this? Did you go UAC? Our 2006 Vibe compressor just took a dump. I’m looking at the RockAuto stuff as well

Looking at RA, the Delphi is just short of $60 more than the GPD, and the GM Genuine is $90 more. If I were you: go with the Delphi at minimum, and pop for the OE if the car is a keeper.

How long do you plan on keeping the car? If it's more than a few years I'd recommend you go with a genuine GM compressor.
