Police couldn't believe it when they pulled over a motorist to discover he had been driving without a licence for 72 years, since he was 12.
The elderly driver admitted he had been driving cars since the 1950s without a licence or insurance and had never had an accident in all those years.
The man, aged in his 80s, was stopped by cops driving a blue Mini next to Tesco Extra in Bulwell, Nottinghamshire., on Wednesday evening (Wednesday, January 26).

Come to Portland Oregon. You don’t need a license, insurance, and plates to drive around and the city commissioners told the police they can’t pull you over for it. It’s a progressive utopia.

Here in Florida, we require proof of insurance for registration. Unfortunately, this does not apply to those of international origin.

In Ohio, you sign on a line saying "yeah, I have insurance". The state does randomly spot-check registered owners though and require you to actually show your proof. They will ask for proof during a past period though so you can't just sign up for insurance after you get the letter and use that as your proof.
