Tyre Tear Safety

Have these General Grabber AT3 manufactured 2021 that I only started using 6 months ago and have done 7000 kms (were initially spares).

Noticed a tear that's either from road debris or broken bottle, no idea given it's irregular shape. Wondering if it affects the integrity of the tyre integrity.

Since those tires were released in 2016
2001 appears to be an error.

No one can tell you the answer to that over the internet, I would check it out with something not too pointy .. maybe needle-nose pliers
and see how deep it is.

AFAIK:
. that large and irregular slice is not plug-able..
but could be patched.

If its not leaking I'd consider just running it.

Meant 2021. Thanks. Will leave them as is and hope it's not as deep to be a blowout concern.

Pry open the cut. Look for cords. If you see any, tire is probably bad.

In either case, run the tire, checking weekly for a bulge. If yes, replace.

If not, run another couple of months, checking every month for a bulge. If no, continue to check every six months.

My best guess is it's ok.
