I'm waiting for the family of the two shot to sue the owner for "excessive force" or something like it.

It happens. In this society as a civilian you can't kill people (even if justified) and just go on about your life.

Look at the news lately-how many Police "justified shootings" have we seen turn in to a mess?

Most police shootings that "turn into a mess" are ones that are clearly done wrong. As long as someone is being threatened with deadly force, a shooting should be justified. Any police shooting where there is any hint of a life threatening factor involved becomes justified, and even easier for police than if it was an every day Joe citizen doing the shooting.

Unfortunately this store owner's life is ruined, at least for life in that area of California. It's sad today how the dirt-bags seem to have more rights than the good citizens do. Chances are good that he'll have to spend 10s of thousands in Lawyer's fees to defend what he had to do to protect himself.

The good guys prevailed. Let that be a lesson to criminals everywhere. I would hate to have to do that, but it beats the alternative. For the crowd that says guns lead to violence, I ask them do forks make people fat?

They were breaking into the house the second time as they had already hit the garage earlier in the day and the individual at home was only 23. He did not know about the earlier visit. Break into someones home with masks on in my book anyway, its open season. OK has a make my day law

But we are talking about CA

Here is the rub-even if your "tried by 12" and found not liable-you will be TOTALLY RUINED FINANCIALLY.
