In another thread, someone posted this:

Wait, which version of Mobil1 0W30 you used?
Mobil1 0W30 ESP
or
Mobil1 ESP 0W30

That is significant drop in viscosity. Makes me think you used ILSAC GF version from Wal Mart.

Are there, in fact, multiple versions of Mobil 1 ESP? If so, how different are they from one another? Is this true for all viscosity ranges, i.e., 0W-20, 0W-30, 5W-30, and 0W-40?

On Rock Auto, under 0W-30 oils, there is a Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30, and a Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 X1...

Ok, thanks. What is the difference between the two?
What I was referring to is what is known as Advance fuel economy (or whatever).
I think it had ESP designation once. I might be mistaken.
Mobil1 ESP 0W30 and X1 versions are European versions; HTHS above 3.5, Low-SAPS formula.

Yeah I think they meant ESP and AFE. AFE is quite common, even at Wally's, ESP is a Euro oil not so common.

He confused or misspelled it. It’s either AFE or ESP. BOTH have a 0w30 variant. ESP has a HTHS of 3.5, AFE does not.
