Twist Lock Power Cord

I need a twist lock to connect to our pool filter. I had an electrcian in today and it is going to cost 1500 to ground all the pool and run it back to the panel (yikes!) Anyway so I figured I could run an extension cord for a bit till I save some money. The pump has a three pronged twist lock, I would like to run it back to the GFI outlet. He said he could make one for 100 or so. Soooo, I figured I would check here first, is it something I could do? I saw this thing at Walmart...it that the ticket? Walmart Cord

Please advise/recommendations.

You can buy the plugs and cable at Loews.

How long does the extension cord need to be? What voltage and how many amps does the filter pull?

Buy a used shore power cord . It is a twist lock that can plug into a regular outlet with the right adapters. it is also weather proof.
