Turned 100,000 miles on 5W-20

Just turned 100,000 miles on my 2003 Civic yesterday. I've run mostly Pennzoil conventional and Platinum at normal drain intervals. Car runs as good as new and does not burn any oil. Plan to continue with more of the same.

I have 110,000 on 5w20 including Valvoline, Pennzoil, Castrol & Motorcraft.

You will continue your trends well into 200k as I did on my 2001. Don't neglect the A/T. Use Amsoil for 50k runs.

Congrats on the mile stone!!!

Now don't forget about the ATF, brake and power steering fluid, coolant, spark plugs, pcv, the fuel system, ect ! !

I've used AC Delco PF1127 filters for most changes. Changed the plugs at 81,000, did the timing belt, water pump, coolant, etc at 98,000 miles. Changed the power steering a couple times and use Amsoil MTF in the 5 speed transmission- changed at 30,000 and 70,000.

Good job! I have similar experiences. My '03 Accord with the 2.4 liter has 111,500 on PP with either Honda A01 or Pureone filters - 5 month/5000 mile OCI as recommended by Honda. My '02 CR-V has 101,500. The previous owner used Honda 5w-20 out of the bottle and Honda A02 filters - 5 month/3000 mile OCI as recommended by Honda. I bought the CR-V when it had 99,000 miles on it and did the 100,000 complete makeover. I currently use Shell 5w20 conventional and Pureone filters. I will continue the 5 month/5000 mile OCI. Both cars run very well and I expect to get at least 150,000 miles out of each.
