I have a 91 Chev Silverado and my turn signal just quit working. I have noticed for the past few months the turn signal on and off has been irregular, there hasn't been an even "beat" when you hear the clicks. Now it just plain old doesn't work. I checked the fuse box and everything is ok there. My hazard lights are working fine. I am assuming it is probably something like the turn signal switch or possibly a relay. I don't have any experience with this issue, so if anyone could help, I'd appreciate it. I have a Hayne's manual, but it doesn't go into detail about the turn signals. Thank you for any suggestions you can offer.

You have to look for the blinker mechanism. On most cars it used to be located on the fuse panel. The mechanism looks like the hazard blinker mechanism, and should be located near it. Turn on your hazard lights, follow the sound, then look for a unit nearby that looks like the one that is making the noise.
