I've been up on long island a lot, and have been eating a lot of Turkish food.

I'm a big fan of the red (slightly spicy) and yellow lentil soups, Donners and other Shih items.

Anyone have any good recipes for that type of food? Turkish or otherwise?

Thanks!

The lentil soup is actually very straightforward to prepare. You can look it up here. They also have a whole lot of other recipes on there you might like.

Thanks! I've really been into middle Eastern food lately, so that site helps.

If you like Turkish food, you'd like Greek food.
Many similar dishes.
Turkey is more like Greece (although they remain bitter rivals) than it is the Middle East, or maybe Greece is more Middle Eastern than it is European.
