If you get spray in liner, you still need a rubber mat to keep things from sliding.Son in law wants to protect his tundras bed. From your experience, what should he consider? Something like LineX? Or just mats ? Pros and cons?
None that I am aware of??? He’s never paid this much for a vehicle and he just wants to protect it.A heavy rubber mat protects against dents up to a point and things don't slide and is less money. Bedliner protects the whole inside against scratches dents not so much and is slipperyer. What damage does son need to protect against?

He didn't mention year of the Tundra, but the new ones (2022+) have a composite bed. Rust may not be an issue. My experience with just a rubber mat is that water can get trapped under there ad cause rust over time. Best bet is apply Linux and THEN add the rubber mat. Costs more but with high priced trucks that you want to keep for a long time, this is the only way to go!
