Take it with you to the hardware store and buy the replacement part(s) including the threaded end’s & gasket. YouTube is your friend!

I had a similar issue with a bathroom sink. But my problem was that the sink was slightly offset from its original location, and the previous owner used a flexible (corrugated) drain pipe that never seemed to seal properly to the plastic P-trap and subsequent wall connection. So I got a couple of nipples, one to attach to the flex pipe from the sink, and one to attach to the pipe coming out of the wall, and then used a rubber P-trap with hose clamps. No different than connecting a radiator hose in a vehicle. So far so good. Good luck.

That's an odd drain set up. Usually they look like this:

And that you have a galvanized ell screwed on to copper is also odd.

His photo is rotated 90 degrees clockwise. This piece in your photo is coming into view in lower right hand corner. The missing piece is the p trap or drum.
Here's his photo turned upright (left). His P trap is connected directly under the tub drain, not under the overflow drain that is the norm (right). Having said this, I did find a picture or two of his type of setup.
