Can anyone tell me if this is a TTY bolt?
Bolt head reads: 10.9 SPS or 10.9 C

Torque sequence:
1). 66 ft-lb
2). Loosen 1 full turn
3). 37 ft-lb
4). Turn additional 90 degrees

Thanks in advance

It would be interesting to see how much torque is put on that fastener with that additional 90 degree turn. I'd use a beam-type wrench to check it out.

If i'm not mistaken, TTY fasteners cannot be reused once they are torqued? So the 'initial' torque and then lossening of it would constitute as such?

yup thats TTY. any fastener that you turn an additional turn with no specific torque setting are TTY and need to be replaced.

i know ford 4.6 motors have a very similar sequence, including loosening and then retorquing. they have to be thrown away with each use.
