TS/Hurricane Milton

My son is in Tampa about 8 miles from Hillsboro college, not sure which campus. He has a lot of trees around his place. We managed to talk him into going to my brother in Valrico. No trees around my brother's place, he has two generators, and hopefully enough gas. I hope telling my son to go there was the right thing. My son is not in an evacuation area, neither is my brother.

Sylvester Stallone and Chuck Norris headed to Tampa.

"knows" is the figurative word here.

Estimates are that a typical tropical storm, is upward of 600 terawatts. 600 Billion watts, which is over half of the entire worlds energy production. Of course this is only an "equal too" figure. The energy needed would have to be exponentially more powerful, depending on how far it was away.

This also would not account for the rain. Just the wind

Show some thermal satellite imagery of this machine in action, or even seismographic data would easily be had. A 10 megaton bomb going off every 20 minutes would be hard to miss.

Not to mention. would this device be mobile? Would the target only happen to be the coastal Gulf or Atlantic, where of course Hurricanes are already the norm?
Maybe you should do your own research. It's quite the topic right now and plenty of documentation of what they have used over the years.

My friend thinks Hawaii had wildfires because china mounted a laser on an airplane. I don't think he knows just how much power a laser of that size to shoot at a distance where radar and naked eye observers can't see, would have to be.

Right, great example.

Many of the conspiracy theories sound really good to some who do not know either the requirements of it, or the limitations imposed by math.

Already done my friend. "They" dont have the power to do it. You havre to much faith in "they"

If only the professionals at NOAA, and the military, had access to the internet, they could know more through said research.
What?

They are not the ones coming up with crackpot theories based on TIKTOK science, which I am guessing by your post includes you.

Our hotels have been filling up with evacuees (I live in S. Florida). Hopefully there's no gouging going on.
You folks are all in our thoughts. Wishing safety for you and the least amount of property damage possible.

Jupiter, FL here. My plane is hangared along Lake Okeechobee at PHK. The hangar is well built, but the location is against the lake. There is a 30 foot dike to prevent flooding.

I took aviation meteorology in college, and remember 3% of it. Just kidding, I've always been fascinated with weather. Best guess is that the storm will be just far enough North of PHK airport and Jupiter for us to avoid the most damaging winds.

Here are the current winds aloft at 3000 feet from NOAA. Quite simply we are often fed nonsense and it helps to look for yourself. For those who don't know, each chevron (triangle) is 50Kt windspeed, each barb is 10Kts and a half is 5Kts. 90Kts is the highest I see.

BTW the storm is under 100mph in the eye while the media is saying run for your lives.

So what would do if you lived the path? Stay there because a website says its only 90mph? Wait until your area is actually under 5' of water and your roof is beginning to peel off and then try to leave?
If you choose the gusts option it gets up into the 120's, but better safe than sorry IMO!

Just a thought. How much commotion and trouble would it be or will it be for all the people who would need to evacuate an area like that ahead of a big storm to charge up and leave in an E-car. Then where ever the poor rushed folks who do leave end up , how would all these million folks possibly be able to re-charge and attempt to return the hundreds of miles to homes that in many cases will be without power for days to sometimes weeks etc...... Just some thoughts about things some folks do not take into consideration when they are trying to force the population (especially the non - rich) folks to buy and use the products they simply want us all to.

Our politicians hate us but we keep reelecting them

Why would the hundreds, if not thousands, of professionals who research and track weather, bother with all their instruments. Or even think of flying a plane into a storm, if all they had to do is look up all the data on an internet app?
They all can't be in on a hoax. Think about it.

I'm just saying that the potential for more powerful storms is possible. Yes, very powerful storms happen regardless, but the frequency and strength could increase because hurricanes feed off of warm ocean temps.

Fun fact: Ocean temps are increasing because ships have been mandated to be more efficient. More efficient fuel burning means less sulfur dioxide emissions which actually reflected the suns rays enough to cool the ocean. Now that the ships don't emit enough SO₂ as previously, we now have a slightly warmer ocean.

The same with fertilizer use lower sulfur and lower carbon emissions are a bad thing despite what the TV tells us,.
