Needing a cartridge of silicone grease to lube my sway bar bushings every couple of months. I've used synthetic grease and it does not last and the noises come back once it wears our of the bushings.

The manufacturer says the only thing that will work correctly is silicone grease. I've checked several boat supply places in the St Louis MO area with no luck. I see it online several places but I'd much rather just be able to pick it up somewhere.

Anyone seen this kind of thing at some places I've not thought of? I can't really use a small squeeze tube due to the fact there are 8 zerks on these sway bars.

thanks for any pointers!

If all else fails, call McMaster-Carr. They have just about anything mechanical and all the items required to support it. Their phone number is 330 342 6100.

You could look on their internet site, but if you can't find what you require call them and ask for help finding it.

BTW, McMaster-Carr has a special agreement with UPS because they are the largest customer for UPS. Expect the package to arrive the next day, two days tops, and the cost for the UPS shipping from McMaster- to you will be low compared to other vendors.

Yes, checked there, only packets for brake jobs and small tubes at best.

This stuff does work good on poly bushings. I just redid the 8 control arm bushings on my 4Runner with it and it's silent as a mouse now!

I know that the poly bushing aftermarket companies (Energy Suspensions/Prothane/etc.) sell 14 oz. cartridges of that VERY thick, tacky clear silicone grease, but again, it is WAY expensive!

Peppies could probably order it up if you have one nearby.

I now use the Super Lube grease cartridge on my poly swaybar bushings with the zerk fittings in the brackets since this is the stuff that UMI suggests to use on these, and in their greaseable Roto-Joints.

The Roto-joints were knocking like jackhammers in the rear control arms/panhard bar ends with the supposedly very high quality synthetic grease that was in there (I'm not going to say which company's grease it was, since I refuse to start a WAR on here!).
I flushed that out with the suggested Super Lube stuff, and now they are TOTALLY silent, even over BAD roads!!!

Your HDs carry it, or will they order it for you?

I get mine (SL) from the local True Value mom & pop store.
