Are they counterfeity? Who knows.
Do they work, fit, and hold a charge?
YUP!
And that's all I ask of them to do.

ebay is the worst place for counterfeits. If you are a heavy user and know how long the oem battery lasted, you get disappointed by inferior cells that typically only give you about half the run time the oem should. This is one of the reasons why i run a high quality double capacity battery and don't ever have to worry about charging except when i sleep once a day. I could go longer if i wanted, but don't want to risk it.

Likely you are correct, but for me a retired old man using a phone for what it was ment to be used for "talking". TrakPhone works well for me, as does the batteries from E Bay, counterfeits or not.

Like I said, work, fit, hold a charge, all I want.

I think I read somewhere that a quality lithium battery is good for about 1,000 charge/discharge cycles. So I guess that would be a little less than 3 years since most users charge their battery once a day.

I see a lot of people who notice their battery is not holding it's charge like it used to after 1.5 years or so, but again like dishdude said it's dependant on how often you charge. A lot of people i work with use their phones so much they are charging it basically all day while they're working and every chance they get. Some of the entry level android phones don't have very big batteries.

For instance the Samsung Galaxy core prime is a stock 2,000 mah battery while higher end models like the note 5 come stock with a 3,000 mah battery.

Thanks,

I don't use my phone very often, I may make a phone call of check message or some light uses once or twice a day. I charge my phone once a day, so the battery should last a little more than 2 year ?

I will start looking for replacement battery with 3,000 mah next summer. Anker or Mugen are good, I guess.

Also another brand to put on your radar would be Seidio, although they tend to offer the larger double capacity batteries and not both the oem and double size like anker and mugen. The double capacity or more batteries come with aftermarket battery doors which render stock cases useless.

With my large Mugen battery on my Note 4 the only good case i could find that fit it was the Zerolemon case. Zerolemon makes average quality batteries, with some reported issues with the 4.35v batteries and quick charge phones, but their case is really good.

Ebay is the worst place to get phone or primary cell batteries unless it's a storefront of a respected business (Newegg, Best Buy, etc). Most batteries on ebay are trash, even those claiming to be OEM or new. I've bought batteries that failed after 1 week. I've bought batteries labeled as OEM New but they were used and didn't hold a charge.

There's only one place I've found that has genuine Samsung batteries.. I don't know what the forum rule is for posting commercial links so if anyone wants it, just PM me.

Never had that experience at all, call me a lucky pup, but it is what it is.
